iPhone Factory Worker keeps her job
As you might remember, last week a girl that worked in the Foxconn factory had taken pictures of herself with the built-in camera on the iPhone 3G, and a customer found the photos on their brand new phone. And since the girl's photos were posted online, many have raised concerns over whether or not this girl would keep her job.

As it turns out, the girl was not fired. In fact, a Foxconn representative has since told a Chinese newspaper that "she is definitely not fired" and that the photos found on the new phone were actually just test photos. Normally, these photos are deleted but it seems in this case they were "accidentally" left on the phone.
So there you have it. factory worker girl is fine and the person who bought the iPhone that contained the photos has a funny story to tell.

Two international data plans coming to iPhone Wednesday
If you plan on traveling abroad, AT&T will be rolling out two new international data plans. However, these data plans will be a bit pricey.

iPhone users that want to travel abroad previously faced serious expense when trying to use the Internet in other countries. However, these new data plans should help keep costs down, at least to some degree.
One plan runs $120 a month for 100MB of international data. The other plan is $200 a month for 200MB. These amounts are piled on top of your existing data plan and voice plan. These new plans apply only to 67 countries, however, so make sure your destinations are on the list. You don't have to commit to these pricey plans for the long-term, however. You can add it or remove it at any time you'd like.

Orange France admits to capping iPhone 3G speeds
iPhone 3G speeds are being capped by Orange France it seems. What's funny is we probably wouldn't have known about the speed cap if a series of recent surveys hadn't been performed. The surveys show major differences in speed when it came to different parts of the world and that had some raising their eyebrows.

Currently, iPhone 3G speeds in France are being capped at 384 kbps. However, on September 15, the speed cap will be raised to 1 Mbps. This is an obvious improvement and should help people in France with iPhones experiencing better reception and faster data transfer.
Interestingly enough, the 1 Mbps cap is still under HSDPA's maximum limit and quite less than what T-Mobile users in Europe experience, which clocks in at around 1.8 Mbps.

PwnageTool 2.0.3 is now available
Wow, those guys in The Dev Team are certainly cranking out the updates right and left. PwnageTool 2.0.3 is now available for download and though you still can't unlock your iPhone 3G, it does offer a few function upgrades.

Included in the update is an update Installer.app beta (b6) and a new .de localization for those in Germany. A word of note: don't decompress the file using "the unarchiver" as it breaks permissions within PwnageTool. The standard OS X Archive Utility will do.
The '150 beta update for the Windows QuickPwn was also released yesterday, which has a revised GUI and tighter integration. QuickPwn for Mac is under testing right now, and should be released to beta soon.

BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Bluetooth Headset review
Over at SlashGear, Vincent has just reviewed the BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Bluetooth Headset and it may be the high-end bluetooth headset of choice for those looking for a little something more out of their talk-time experience.

Equipped with a new technology called BlueGenie, this headset can be activated via voice commands. And keywords aren't even necessary. you can just speak normally and get the device to do what you want. One example of such a command is "check battery" which will cause the V1 to tell you how much charge is left.
And to get down to the specs, this BlueAnt model measures in at 41 x 17.5 x 11.2mm, has a Li-Ion battery that can last for 5hrs of talk time or up to 200 hrs in standby mode, a multifunction button that also acts as the voice command trigger, a MicroUSB socket and Bluetooth v2.1 support.

All in all, the BlueAnt V1 is a good buy and is rather accurate in its receptiveness to voice commands. However, it doesn't fit quite as well as the Jawbone 2 and its audio isn't as good as some other headsets on the market. Even so, for $129.99, the BlueAnt V1 wins out for its top-notch voice command abilities.
